CUSTOM BAG BUYER GUIDE

Custom Cosmetic Bag Logo Artwork: Files, Size and Placement Before Sampling

Prepare logo files, finished artwork size and placement for custom cosmetic bag sampling. Includes a buyer handoff example and approval checklist.

QUICK ANSWER

Send editable vector artwork where available, a preview showing the intended appearance, the finished logo width and height in millimetres, and a placement drawing measured from named bag edges or seams. Ask the factory to review the selected logo method on the actual material, then approve the physical sample before bulk production.

Prepare a production file and a visual reference

Send the original vector logo file when you have it, such as AI, EPS or a PDF containing vector artwork. File extensions alone do not prove that a logo is editable: a PDF can contain only a placed photograph. Include a clear preview so the factory can compare the production file with the appearance you intend.

For a wordmark, provide an outlined copy or agree how fonts will be supplied. Keep an editable original in your own records. If you only have a screenshot or small image, send it for review and ask whether artwork preparation is needed, what it costs and how you will approve the recreated logo before any tooling is made. Do not assume a quotation includes redrawing.

Specify the finished logo size in millimetres

State both the finished width and height, and confirm that the original proportions must be preserved. A request to make the logo small or premium leaves too much open to interpretation. Measure the logo against the actual front panel, including the area taken up by seams, the zipper and any curves.

For example, an illustrative brief might say: finished wordmark width 35 mm, height proportional to the approved original; factory to confirm the resulting height. This is a handoff example, not a recommended size for every bag. Thin strokes, small letters and gaps may need adjustment for the selected process. Ask for a reviewed size drawing before the sample is produced.

Define placement from a stable reference

Describe whether the logo belongs on the front panel, back panel, patch or another component. Then name the measurement reference. Centre on the visible front panel is different from centre on the full cutting pattern, and a distance measured from a finished bottom edge differs from one measured from a stitch line.

Show a front-view drawing with the logo centreline and at least one vertical measurement. For a corner logo, define the side and bottom references and the intended clear space. Ask the factory to propose a practical placement tolerance for that construction and record it before approval. For a gusseted or curved bag, review the position with the sample filled as intended as well as empty.

Review the artwork with the actual material and logo method

Agree the artwork, material and application method together. Print, embroidery, debossing, labels and metal badges require different production preparation; a single preview cannot confirm that all methods will reproduce the same details. Compare the options in our cosmetic bag logo methods guide before choosing the sample route.

For a textured PU reference, ask how the grain affects the intended mark and review the result on the selected material. For embroidery, confirm the appearance of small text and the effect on the panel. For a badge or patch, include attachment details and interior finish. Avoid treating a digital mockup as proof of the final surface, stitching or depth.

Confirm colour, finish and setup charges separately

For a coloured logo, state the colour reference and whether it is a target or an approved physical standard. Review the mark against the actual bag colour. A screen preview can guide development, but the physical sample should control the final approval. Record any agreed difference in colour or finish.

For a colourless debossed mark, say so explicitly rather than sending a black preview without explanation. For metallic print or hardware, identify the intended finish and ask for an appropriate sample. Request separate confirmation of artwork preparation, print setup, embroidery digitising, mould or die charges, and whether repeat orders or size changes require new charges.

Use this example as an artwork handoff

The following is an illustrative brief to adapt to your own design:

The dimensions above are examples, not factory limits or a promise of feasibility. Attach a marked drawing so the wording and the image describe the same location. If the material, bag size or logo size changes, ask whether the artwork, placement or tooling must be revised.

Approve one clear reference before bulk production

Check the physical sample for logo spelling, proportions, finished dimensions, position, colour or depth, edge clarity and the appearance of the surrounding panel. Compare it with the approved artwork drawing. Request close-up and full-front photographs with a ruler when reviewing remotely, and use a physical sample when the finish is critical.

Record the approved artwork filename and revision, bag material reference, logo method, finished size, placement drawing and agreed tolerance. List any corrections in writing and confirm whether another sample is needed. Our cosmetic bag sample checklist covers the wider approval, including construction, zipper, lining and packing.

Send the logo brief with your quotation request

Choose a starting style from our custom cosmetic bag collection, or use the PU cosmetic bag reference to describe the shape. Send your logo, approximate bag dimensions, quantity per design and colour, target market, sales channel and required delivery date. Tell us which details are confirmed and which need development advice.

For this general custom bag website, the standard starting MOQ is from 300 pieces per design, subject to materials, colours and components. Sample scope, setup costs and timing are confirmed after reviewing the brief. Send Yoyo your reference image or tech pack and logo requirements for an OEM/ODM development and bulk-order quotation.
